<image:caption>Goblin Valley presents a fun and unique experience for those who wish to explore on foot. The Valley of Goblins, our most well known attraction, spans nearly three square miles and is a free-roaming area that can be explored at your leisure.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Activities - San Rafael Swell</image:title>
<image:caption>Eons ago, tremendous geologic upheavals formed a giant dome of rock - a "swell" in the earth's surface. The harsh elements beat against this dome and eroded it into a wild, broken array of multi-colored sandstone. Wind and water carved this jumble of rock into incredible formations as buttes, canyons, pinnacles and mesas emerged, making the Swell one of the most ruggedly beautiful pockets of terrain in the world. That was how this area came to be known as San Rafael Swell.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Buckhorn Wash is near the northwestern corner of the swell, one of the more accessible parts of the region. Its rock panels contain figures drawn in red ochre, believed to have been first created by people using the Barrier Canyon Style that flourished between 1,500 and 4,000 years ago.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Activities - Black Dragon Canyon</image:title>
<image:caption>An easy hike in a deep canyon decorated with pictographs describes Dragon Canyon. Near the mouth, a large overhang, one you'll probably reach with your vehicle, offers a great campsite. An old jeep track provides a level walking surface for most the hike. About 200 yards past the overhang, you'll find a panel of exceptional ancient drawings, probably the reason most hikers come here. Beyond the panel, after less than two miles of walking below tall, sculpted sandstone walls, the canyon forks. The south fork heads back towards Interstate 70. The north fork offers more fascinating canyon walls. TRAIL HEAD: 38.941236, -110.404867 TRAIL TYPE: Hiking DIFFICULTY: Easy LENGTH: 3 miles</image:caption>

      <image:title>Activities - Little Wild Horse Canyon</image:title>
<image:caption>Little Wild Horse is a classic slot canyon located in south-central Utah, near Goblin Valley. It is a popular hiking spot for families and youth groups. The main attraction is a long stretch of "narrows," where the canyon walls are so close you have to turn sideways to get through. To reach the trailhead, drive Hwy 95 south toward Hanksville and then turn west onto the Goblin Valley Road. Swing south as you approach Temple Mountain. Just before entering Goblin Valley State Park, turn west onto the dirt road and follow it to the signed trailhead. *Vault toilets are available at the trailhead.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Tucked away in the middle of the San Rafael Desert, Moonshine Wash is one of the best non-technical slot canyons around. Length: 0.9 miles to the Crawford-Reid Nelson junction, 5.8 miles to Red Draw Difficulty: Easy to moderate - pools and dryfalls. Various entry/exit routes if needed.
